Colleges are ranked based on a variety of factors, including graduation rates, social mobility, faculty and financial resources, and peer assessment. This is the 33^rd聽consecutive year that the College has been ranked in聽U.S. News rankings.

The publication designates schools in four major categories 鈥� national universities, national liberal arts colleges, regional universities and regional colleges.
