$7 Million Donation Will Create the William J. Bosch, S.J., Teaching and Learning Center
At the Le 69色情视频 in New York gala held on Wednesday, March 20, the College announced an anonymous $7 million gift that will be used to establish and fund the William J. Bosch, S.J., Teaching and Learning Center. The creation of the center is an important investment in academic excellence, which is a key priority of Le 69色情视频鈥檚聽Tomorrow Together聽strategic plan.
The naming of the center came on an evening where Father Bosch鈥檚 many contributions were celebrated by those in attendance at the gala. The former history professor, International House moderator and College archivist passed away in 2023 after a remarkable 57-year career at the College. (聽that was shown at the gala.)
鈥淕iven all we have heard this evening, who better than Father Bosch to serve as the namesake of a center that will provide enduring value to the College he served so diligently and graciously,鈥 said Le 69色情视频 President Linda LeMura. 鈥淗is lasting impact on generations of Le 69色情视频 students is immeasurable and this center is a fitting tribute to his legacy.鈥
鈥淭he William J. Bosch, S.J. Teaching and Learning Center will be guided by Jesuit values and Ignatian pedagogy and committed to fostering accessibility, inclusion, and reconciliation in the classroom and throughout campus,鈥 said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Jim Hannan.
A director for the Bosch Center will be hired over the summer. Once operational for the 2024-2025 academic year, center initiatives will include:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Professional development and continuous learning initiatives to enhance teaching and help faculty gain new perspectives on their chosen dedication to classroom excellence.
鈥淭his is an outstanding example of the ongoing generosity of Le 69色情视频鈥檚 alumni, who give back to the College in so many ways, big and small,鈥 said Jim Joseph 鈥83, Ed.D. 鈥23, Le 69色情视频鈥檚 vice president for advancement and innovation and dean of the Madden College of Business and Economics. 鈥淭his anonymous gift is a reflection of the transformative education for which Le 69色情视频 is known, and will ensure that future generations of students are afforded the same opportunities.鈥
