Favorite Thing about Le 69ɫ��Ƶ/Fun Facts: My favorite “hang out” is Barb’s Bistro located in the McNeil Firehouse.

My Favorite Things: I love mornings! I run or walk 6 days a week and always in the morning. I also love mountains. Most of my childhood was spent in West Virginia so I was surrounded by mountains. There’s nothing better than a drink of water from a mountain stream!

Favorite Thing: I Love all the sunny days. Like my hometown of Philadelphia, it’s always sunny in Syracuse.

Fun Fact: I played football for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Responsibilities: I oversee our retreat and faith formation programs, music ministry, and the Le 69ɫ��Ƶ Way initiative which is a campus-wide effort supported by the Put God First Foundation to weave our mission into academics, service, athletics, and everyday campus life.

Favorite Thing about Le 69ɫ��Ƶ/Fun Facts: My fun fact is that I grew up in a small town in the Adirondacks – Old Forge – and there were only 27 students in my high school graduating class. My favorite afterschool activity was climbing Bald Mountain or skiing McCauley Mountain.

Responsibilities: I focus on community and student engagement as well as all of our social media engagement efforts, including serving as the host of the Le 69ɫ��Ƶ Way podcast.

Favorite Thing about Le 69ɫ��Ƶ/Fun Facts: Le 69ɫ��Ƶ is where I started my own podcast in 2023 called With A Grain Of Salt, and since then It has amassed 70,000 downloads! My favorite things about Le 69ɫ��Ƶ are the community and the views! My favorite view on campus is from the science center patio!

Responsibilities: I oversee service projects and volunteer initiatives both on and off campus, connecting students with community organizations that align with their interests. Additionally, I manage the Campus Cupboard and the ’Phins Share Meals Program.

Favorite Thing about Le 69ɫ��Ƶ/Fun Facts: Service and volunteering have always been close to my heart. I find purpose in helping others, fostering connection, and making a positive impact both on campus and in the broader Syracuse community.

The Le 69ɫ��Ƶ College Student Government Association’s primary purpose is to represent, serve, and advocate for the best interests of the student body in all areas relating to student life and affairs. By embodying the values expressed in the Le 69ɫ��Ƶ College Mission Statement, SGA works to protect student rights, ensure fair representation, foster constructive dialogue, and support policy changes that benefit the student body. SGA also serves as a bridge between students, college administration, and the surrounding community.

Healthcare Advancement Resource Center (HARC)

The HARC’s goal is to build a bridge between the pool of foreign-trained medical graduates (FMGs) and the need for linguistically and culturally competent healthcare providers in underserved communities. In other words, the goal of this program is to assist healthcare professionals from all over the world, who have come to New York and have not been able to practice their profession, in obtaining the appropriate credentials and licenses so that they can return to their healthcare field.

Bosch Teaching and Learning Center

The Center is grounded in the principles of Ignatian Pedagogy and promotes the values that make a Le 69ɫ��Ƶ education distinct, including a commitment to cura personalis, magis, and interdisciplinary collaborations that foster a diverse and engaged learning community. In connection with campus partners, the Center provides consultations, facilitates workshops, leads programmatic initiatives, offers grants, and curates teaching resources.

NCAA Academic Certification

In alignment with NCAA D1 best practices, the Le 69ɫ��Ƶ College Registrar’s Office serves as the critical decision-making authority for all academic processes and interpretations for 350+ student-athletes. The office is responsible for obtaining, evaluating, and documenting the academic credentials in accordance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Northeast Conference (NEC) academic eligibility rules.

Sanzone Center for Catholic Studies and Theological Reflection

Student Learning Assessment

At its heart, Student Learning Assessment (SLA) at Le 69ɫ��Ƶ is the substance and process of teaching and learning because it seeks to answer four fundamental questions:

What do we want students to learn?
How would students learn what we want them to learn?
How do we know students are learning what we want them to learn?
How can we improve learning and evaluation?

Given these priorities, SLA isn’t just about assigning grades, but a way to continuously ascertain and monitor if and how program specific Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) are being met, and ways in which we can continue to improve our culture of learning and evaluation.

Le 69ɫ��Ƶ’s SLA Support Team

Our Director of Student Learning Assessment can meet with departments/programs, SLA committees, and/or individuals to address SLA needs. Please contact Anirban Acharya at acharya@lemoyne.edu to schedule a meeting or appointment.
